1. Who you buy from
When you buy a creator’s product on a page hosted with AfripayStudio, your purchase contract is with that creator (the seller), unless the page clearly states you are buying an AfripayStudio subscription or an escrow-protected transaction.
AfripayStudio provides software and hosting. In the standard model, AfripayStudio is not the seller of the creator’s product.
2. Payment
Payment is processed through the payment gateway configured by the creator. Funds are received according to that gateway’s and the creator’s arrangements.
Check the Creator Checkout Disclosure on the page for seller identity and payment destination.
3. Delivery and fulfilment
The creator is responsible for delivering the product or service as described (digital access, shipping, booking, etc.) and for customer support related to the offer.
4. Refunds, cancellations, and order changes
Refund, cancellation, and change-of-order rules for a creator’s product are set by the creator and must be disclosed before purchase, subject to your statutory consumer rights under applicable law.
How to cancel or request a refund: use the contact details shown on the sales page, receipt, or thank-you page, and include your order email and payment reference. Contact the creator first for fulfilment, refund, cancellation, or product complaints.
AfripayStudio may assist with technical access to the Buyer Workspace where applicable, but is not the merchant for standard creator sales and cannot reverse a payment settled to the creator’s gateway solely because you are unhappy with the product—except where law or a separate Afripay Escrow process applies.
Your statutory consumer rights are not excluded by platform notices where the law does not allow exclusion. We do not use blanket “no refunds under any circumstances” wording.
- Before fulfilment: ask the creator to cancel if their policy allows; gateway refunds depend on the creator and their payment provider.
- After digital access or delivery has begun: refunds follow the creator’s disclosed policy and applicable consumer law.
- Chargebacks: raising a chargeback with your bank does not replace contacting the seller; abuse may affect future purchases.
5. AfripayStudio subscriptions
If you purchase an AfripayStudio software plan, the Subscription and Billing Terms apply instead of creator refund rules (including how to cancel renewal).
6. Escrow purchases
If a transaction uses Afripay Escrow, the Afripay Escrow Agreement and escrow disclosures explain how funds are held, released, cancelled, and refunded. Those rules do not apply to ordinary direct-to-creator payments.
